I learned how to crochet in 2009 when I was working as a counselor at a group home. One of my clients crocheted blankets for her friends and family, but rarely interacted with anyone at the residence, so one day I asked her if she would show me how to crochet too. Before I knew it, she and I have founded a crochet club and many of the other residents joined. Since then, I’ve continued working and learning new techniques.
